InletPass · Wi-Fi screen guide

Get familiar with
the onboard Wi-Fi experience.

Follow what passengers see on their phones, how crew receive access, and the tools staff use to help. Start with Wi-Fi; the wider suite can follow separately.

1 · Sign in2 · See your allowance3 · Buy & connect4 · Manage & get help

Reading this guide: Android captures show the app itself. Screen illustrations simplify individual panels using example values. Application captures may include older labels. These are reference images, not account controls.

The Wi-Fi-only app has Wi-Fi and My Profile tabs. The combined app also has My Voyage and Book Voyage. A booking is not required to use Wi-Fi.

01 · Getting started

An account that follows the passenger.

The first visit establishes the account; returning users come back to their allowance and history.

SCREEN 01

Sign in or create an account

Open the Wi-Fi tab to begin.

What to select
Sign in or create account opens the InletPass sign-in flow.
What happens next
After sign-in, the app checks whether this identity already has a Wi-Fi account.
Another way in
Other Wi-Fi options provides existing Wi-Fi account, desk-issued login and crew invitation paths. These are explained below.
Android app capture · Wi-Fi entry screen

02 · Using the service

See the allowance. Add data. Connect.

The app manages the account; the vessel network supplies the actual Wi-Fi and internet connection.

SCREEN 03

The balance screen

This is the passenger’s main view of the service.

What it shows
The current access tier, remaining premium data and any active crew entitlement. Crew dates and an upcoming grant appear when applicable.
What to do
Use Refresh balance to request the latest account information.
How to read it
Usage reflects reports received from the network. This screen is not a live speed test or a packet-by-packet meter.

SCREEN 04

Choose a premium package

The Clover purchase panel starts the payment journey.

What to select
Choose a package, then select Pay with a Clover test card. The app creates the checkout.
Next screen
Select Open Clover payment page. Hosted checkout opens in the phone’s browser.
Where payment happens
Card details are entered on the Clover page, rather than into the Wi-Fi account panel.

SCREEN 05

Return and confirm the purchase

The balance changes after the payment is confirmed.

After checkout
Return to the app and select Check payment and refresh balance.
If it is still waiting
Pending means confirmation has not arrived. A manual-review message means the payment needs checking; neither message means new data has been credited.
Resume or resolve
An unfinished order can appear as Resume … GB Clover purchase. Failed or expired checkout adds no data. Closing the browser does not cancel a payment.

SCREEN 06

Show the login used on the vessel

The account sign-in and the Wi-Fi network login serve different purposes.

In the app
Select Show Wi-Fi login to see the user name and, when newly issued, the password.
On the phone
Join the vessel’s Wi-Fi using the phone’s Wi-Fi settings, then follow the vessel’s sign-in page using those details.
Keep the password
The password is shown when issued; it is not a password you can retrieve later by email. The app can issue a replacement when your sign-in method permits it.

03 · Managing the account

The details behind the balance.

Expandable account panels keep everyday information close without putting every detail on the main screen.

SCREEN 07

Devices and reported usage

Open Devices to review sessions associated with the account.

What it shows
Device identifiers, reported open sessions and recorded usage for the account’s reporting period.
How staff can use it
It helps establish which sessions the account has used when a passenger asks about their balance.
What it controls
This is an account view. It does not replace phone Wi-Fi settings or provide a one-tap device-disconnect control.

SCREEN 08

Purchases and remaining data

Open Purchases to see how the account’s allowance was added and used.

Purchase history
Review the date, package size, provider and status of recorded orders.
Allowance history
See remaining and used data associated with account allowances.
Unfinished checkout
Use the resumable purchase in the Clover panel to return to an outstanding order.

SCREEN 09

Accept a crew invitation

Crew access has a defined allowance and period, approved by staff.

Open the invitation
Use the invitation link or Use a crew invitation in the app. An onboarding link first asks the recipient to verify their own contact details.
Accept with the right account
Sign in to an existing account or complete account creation, then accept. If the wrong person is signed in, sign out before proceeding.
After acceptance
The account displays the crew allowance and validity period. This is Wi-Fi access; it does not itself admit the person to the vessel’s crew roster.

SCREEN 10

Profile, sign-out and password replacement

These controls help someone recover access or use the right account.

My Profile
Check the signed-in identity, switch accounts or sign out. The account detail panel also exposes account information appropriate to the current view.
Replace a Wi-Fi password
Select Issue a new Wi-Fi password and confirm. The previous password stops working at the next network sign-in; this does not promise an immediate disconnect of existing sessions.
Desk-issued access
A desk-credential session cannot replace its own Wi-Fi password. Use the email/phone account path or ask staff for assistance.

SCREEN 11

Service information and help

People can consult an explanation while completing the task.

How this works
This account panel explains the service rules, sessions, allowances and pricing information supplied for the deployment.
Ask InletPass
Inside an invited evaluation, ask a question and read a guide-backed answer with its sources. Minimize the helper to follow the steps, then reopen it.
Scope of help
The helper explains workflows. It does not buy data, inspect private account records or change an account on the user’s behalf. Public website help provides basic navigation only.
Android app capture · the helper can be minimized

04 · Alternate screens

Other ways to sign in or recover access.

These branches appear when needed; a passenger does not have to visit every one.

Existing Wi-Fi account

Choose email or phone sign-in and enter the account password. This is useful for an account created before shared InletPass sign-in.

Service desk Wi-Fi user name

Enter the user name and Wi-Fi password issued by staff. This supports a walk-up passenger without making a reservation.

Create an account with a code

In the alternate account-creation path, request a verification code, confirm it, and provide the requested name and password.

Forgot password

Request and verify a code, set a new account password, then return to sign-in. Resetting this account password is different from replacing the network’s Wi-Fi password.

Work sign-in

Where enabled, use the operator’s configured workforce identity flow. A work email alone does not establish crew eligibility; that integration is agreed with the operator.

Invitation access and expiry

An invited evaluator may first see an invitation-entry screen. Expired evaluation access requires a fresh invitation. Removing tester access from the phone is separate from signing out.

Message status and consent

Where available, the app shows the latest code or invitation delivery status and text-message preferences. SMS requires an enabled provider and the recipient’s consent; email is an available contact path.

05 · Supporting passengers and crew

The staff desk behind the app.

Authorized staff use a browser desk to assist accounts, handle walk-up passengers and manage crew invitations.

1

Choose operator & vessel

Set the context for the account or invitation being managed.

2

Create or find an account

Use New walk-up passenger, or find an existing account by Wi-Fi user name.

3

Review & assist

Read balance, credits, sessions and connected-device status. Issue a replacement Wi-Fi password or suspend/reactivate an account.

4

Manage crew access

Invite by contact with allowance and start/end dates, or create an onboarding link so crew provide their own contact details.

What the detail screens tell staff

Balance shows the allowance. Credits and who added them explains account adjustments. Recent sessions supplies usage context. Connected-device and tier-change screens separate a requested change, its delivery and the observed network result.

Control the invitation lifecycle

The invitation list shows status and supports revocation with a reason. Unused onboarding links can be withdrawn. The desk’s test-credit action is an account adjustment, separate from a confirmed Clover purchase.
